Going green for the holidays is a lot simpler than one might think.

Over Thanksgiving break, I found some easy tips to help green up your holiday season.

First tip, for those college students who drive home, find a carpool buddy. It reduces pollution, saves money, and can even be more fun than traveling alone.

Second, bump up your dinner time by a few hours and eat over candle light. It saves electricity and adds a sophisticated motif to your family's meal together.

Lastly, play outside. Most families tend to glue themselves to the television set right after their big meal, but instead, try relaxing outside with your after dinner drink and watch the sun set.
