Green for the Holidays
With the holidays just around the corner, gift-wrapping will be on almost everyone’s to-do list. Instead of going to the store for the usual decorative wrapping paper set, why not do it green?

Danny Seo, an environmental lifestyle expert features more than 50 eco-friendly and sustainable gift-wrapping ideas in his book, "Simply Green Giving: Create Beautiful Gift Wrappings, Tags and Handmade Treasures from Everyday Materials". Seo’s ideas are not only creative and chic, but are also good for the environment.
Use newspaper to wrap champagne and wine bottles, curling the ends for a festive look. Magazines are another great alternative to wrapping paper, while old VHS tapes can be used for ribbon on gifts. The book even shows you how to make gift cards into miniature shopping bags.

These approaches to gift-wrapping are great ways to be green during the holidays. Try them out for yourself or let them inspire some of your own creativity.
