Oct. 6 and 7 was the weekend "green living" took center stage.

In Washington D.C., The Global Exchange and Co-op America hosted The Green Festival, a long awaited celebration of all things "green."

The festival attracted hundreds of locals and tourists from around the country and had more than 300 green companies showcase what they do to help the environment.
