Cat Scan Submissions
Writer's Guidelines
The Cat Scan accepts queries or completed manuscripts. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with our publication and read some of our stories before sending your manuscript. Because our audience is made up primarily of university students, we look for stories that will appeal to an intelligent, engaged audience. The Cat Scan is a publication that is edgy and exciting but not gratuitous. Please refrain from foul language and ad hominem attacks in your writing. WHO Writers, students, freelancers, anyone interested in contributing to The Cat Scan. WHAT The Cat Scan is accepting queries or completed stories ranging between 500 and 1,500 words that fall under our green living theme. Please note that we have four specific sections: news, lifestyle, conservation and profiles. We also accept videos, photo stories, or podcasts. Please confirm with all sources that they are aware your story will be published online. WHERE Please send submissions via email either attached as a Word document or properly formatted in the body of the email to catscansubmissions@gmail.com WHEN We will be accepting submissions throughout the spring 2008 semester. WHY Get a clip and a byline. HOW Include your name, email address, phone number, and contact information for all sources used in the story and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
