It might make you cringe to think about how much garbage from an event bypasses recycle bins and gets thrown straight into the trash, only to cease function as just another piece of waste in a landfill.

PHOENIX — When you sit down to grab dinner, you ask for a bottle of wine. The bottle you may be asking for could possibly be organically made.

Organic wine is made from organic grapes.

"Organic grapes are grown without any pesticides," said Sharon Webster, cellar master at AJ's Fine Foods.

Organic wine is just like any other type of organic food or drink.

"Organic wine is the same as regular milk and organic milk," said Danny Hall, wine sommelier at the Melting Pot.

It takes certain types of harvesting and you have to keep the finished product free of stuff, Hall said.

There are a lot more organic wines on the market today than any other organic liquor. There are a lot of companies that make organic wines and don't even go through the process of getting them certified, Webster said.

Organic wines are becoming very popular throughout the United States as well as the world. Organic wines can be found almost anywhere wine is sold.

The price market for organic wines would surprise most people. Wine is wine in that there is high-end organic wine and there is low-end organic wine. It is really designed to fit the taste buds of the individual.
