Green from head to toe
Since hair products are used so frequently, it is important to find a hair care line that is environmentally friendly. Make sure that the line uses all natural products and that it is not tested on animals.

Another good thing to look for is whether or not the producer has donated any proceeds to non-profit environmental organizations.

As far as clothing goes, wear organic fabrics like hemp and make sure that your clothing was made with natural dyes. Although these dyes are not mainstream everywhere yet, there are more and more companies coming out with eco-friendly jeans that use natural indigo dye for coloring.

Another green tip for clothes is to re-use and recycle them. Take gently worn clothing to second-hand shops or trade them in for something you have been wanting at stores like Buffalo Exchange.

Last, but not least, when you accessorize, make sure you are buying vegan handbags and fair trade jewelry.

After following these tips, you will leave your house with a new respect for how chic green can really be.
